Classification Pay Scale
In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.

Job Summary
This is a continuous recruitment for an application pool to fill part -time, adjunct assignments on an as-needed basis. Applications are accepted year-round and will remain in the pool.
Prepare, develop, and administer content in specified area of expertise that will provide students with contemporary practice skills and knowledge that meets CAPTE expectations and prepares graduates that are empathetic, competent, life long learners that perform at a minimum entry level of practice as a generalist physical therapist.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Individuals must possess these knowledge, skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
1. Knowledge of contemporary physical therapy practice in specified area of expertise
2. Ability to organize and present material in lecture and laboratory.
3. Ability to communicate effectively in large and small groups as well as one-on-one.
4. Ability to accurately examine the knowledge and clinical skills attained by the students.
5. Ablity to communicate professionally and effectively.

1. Education: An entry level Physical Therapy degree from an accredited physical therapy program and/or an academic doctorate. Certification or Board Certified Clinical Specialization preferred.
2. Experience: Five or more years of clinical practice in physical therapy OR Certificate or Board Certified Clinical Specialization.
3. Licensure: As required. Oregon State PT license or eligible for State licensure.
4. Preferences: Preference will be given to individuals with academic doctorates.
